Engineering Club Book Lists

Accelerated Reader Program

In order to promote good reading skills, the West Branch Area School District utilizes the Accelerated Reader program provided by Renaissance Learning company. During each 9-week marking period, every student is expected to earn a specified number of Accelerated Reader (AR) points. The required number of points varies by grade level. High school students are required to accumulate 25 points per marking period.

Students earn AR points by taking computerized multiple-choice quizzes on books that the students have selected from the library's AR Book List. Elementary students must select books from the Elementary AR Book List, and high school students must select books from the High School AR Book List.

Role of Engineering Club

The Engineering Club seeks to ensure that West Branch students at all grade levels are able to find challenging, stimulating, well-written non-fiction books, specifically, but not exclusively, related to science, engineering, and technology. In support of this goal, the Engineering Club maintains the following book lists for the convenience of students, parents, and teachers.
