Description
HACC, central Pennsylvania's community college, will hold a free half-day program for high school students interested in learning more about what career options exist in the field of engineering.
Sponsored by the college's business, engineering and technologies division, the event gives students the opportunity to talk with professional engineers who are members of the Harrisburg Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (PSPE).
Participants also will choose from a variety of informative lectures that they can attend to learn more about architectural, computer, civil, electronic, mechanical, and environmental engineering. The engineers will discuss employment opportunities in their field and in related technological areas, as well as present information concerning the educational and vocational training requirements for the occupations that they represent.
