Meeting with IEEE Representatives

In November of 2005, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) named the West Branch Engineering Club as a Student Club of the IEEE. It is the goal of the IEEE to foster student interest and achievement in Electrical Engineering and related fields.

In order to benefit from our relationship with the IEEE, we need to learn more about the IEEE and the types of support that they are willing to offer. For this reason, Mr. Amarjeet Basra, a member of the IEEE who lives in Virginia, will be making a special trip to West Branch in order to meet with our club.

Mr. Basra would like to:

  • meet us in person and learn more about our club's goals
  • present information to help us better understand the IEEE and its goals
  • discuss specific ways that we can work together to foster student interest and achievement

All members are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting and contribute to the discussion about how, with help from the IEEE, we can provide a richer set of opportunities to West Branch students.
