Description

E.P.I.C. (Engineering Possibilities in College) is a one-week summer program for high school students (9th-12th) to learn about engineering and experience hands-on labs in a university atmosphere. It's an opportunity for you, the student, to explore the different types of engineering available at Cal Poly and other universities.

E.P.I.C. students attend 8 hands-on labs through out the week. Labs are offered in Aerospace, Architectural, Biomedical, BioResource & Agricultural, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechanical, and Software Engineering. All labs will be taught by Cal Poly professors and assisted by current Cal Poly students.

Students will tour the exciting Cal Poly engineering labs as well as local engineering companies, such as Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Spice Hunter, and Aeromech.

E.P.I.C. isn't all work and no play. Students will be able to meet other students through fun activities on Cal Poly's campus like bowling, rock climbing, scavenger hunts, or video game systems. There is also time to listen to speakers from various engineering companies, learn networking skills, and play games. There will also be raffles and free stuff given out throughout the week!
